Thanks for your comment Kate. It is something I think about a lot too as I watch how more and more of our lives is conducted through technology and the internet. There are some great advantages such as being able to connect with people we would otherwise never meet (like now) but our insatiable appetites tend to take all innovations to their extreme. How amazing would it be if we had wise elders who considered the effects of new technologies before unleashing them without restraint. But then who would make a profit?

I followed your link to this from the fb discussion you started about aviation. This really interests me, Inez, thank you. I've been thinking about what happens to our subjectivity when we delegate, as we increasingly do, our human function of memory to digital devices. I feel our ability to be present, attentive and connected to what is real within and around us is becoming further impaired as we are not held and oriented by the moorings of our memories. Are we beginning to show symptoms of collective dementia? No amount of data can substitute for the ability to be oriented in time through the reflexivity of memory.

In reply to <a href="https://growinggoodlives.com/to-never-be-forgotten/#comment-11">Graham Burgess</a>.

Hi Graham,

Yes the physicality of the pictures really drive the message home. And that is in just 24 hours.

Mind blowing.
